Trump Lady (IRE) 2015 – SOLD
2015 bay mare by Doyen x Kris Krystal (Kris Kin)
Trump Lady won an Irish point to point on her third outing. Her sire Doyen has produced a number of Grade 1 chasers and her damsire, Kris Kin, a top-level filly in Buildmeupbuttercup who nearly won the County Hurdle last week. When buying a filly, it is great to see Black Type mares down the page for that residual value and Trump Lady’s dam is a half-sister to Regal Encore and The Organist.
She showed a great attitude at Borris House against a big field where they didn’t mess about and is clearly learning on the job, coming from a moderate size yard with about a dozen in training, she led from some way out here but when tackled was not for passing, galloping away again in the closing half-mile to win by 5 lengths in a race clocked at just under 7 minutes.
Point to Point Website said the following:
‘In recent years, this race has often field quite a small line-up, however as a race which has previously produced the 145-rated hurdler Mine Now in 2014 when run as a confined, it saw 12 runners lining up this year, and in a chance to some of the very recent races, which have produced shock winners, it followed more in keeping with the form book. TRUMP LADY (IRE) had contested two competitive mares` maidens since the turn of the year at Ballindenisk and Tyrella, and is the latest winner to emerge from both races with a decent effort for the class of race. Making much of the running throughout the final mile and a half, the Doyen mare who had a hurdler`s physique, has a very effective style of jumping and although joined at the third-last by the strong-travelling favourite, she proved herself to be a tough customer, battling back to win a shade comfortably at the line. The step into winner`s company should not prove a problem, and in time she could make her mark in handicap grade.’
We have shipped her over to England and has passed her vetting .
