Whistleinthedark – SOLD

Whistleinthedark is a €48k Derby Sale graduate by Fame And Glory who has been placed in both his Irish point to points for David Harry Kelly (10% strike rate in points).

He is out of a half-sister to Shotgun Willy and an own brother to a now Black Type horse called Young Ted who ran in the Grade 1 Champion bumper at Punchestown.

As you can see from the replay, he is the only one to make any impression on the Colin Bowe trained winner, having a good go at him up the hill and ultimately splitting the pair from the Champion trainer’s yard.

‘WHISTLEINTHEDARK (IRE) stepped forwards from his respectable third-place debut effort behind Fangio De Vassy in a competitive Dromahane contest last month and the attractive son of Fame And Glory was the only one able to make any sort of a meaningful race of it with the winner. His jumping wasn’t as fluent as the winner, who never missed a beat in the air throughout, and he should effortlessly be able to go one better in a similar type of contest.’
