Airtothethrone – SOLD

Airtothethrone was originally a produce of the Land Rover Sale via Peter Nolan and found his way to the yard of Matthew Flynn O’Connor, his young trainer who before this season was responsible for only 2 winners from 40 odd runners.

He travelled and jumped well on his debut and actually as the race developed into something serious, he appeared on the scene travelling really well, possibly lack of race experience telling.  On his second start, he again travelled strongly and jumped well throughout, finishing surrounded by horses from some of the bigger yards.

Point to point website said the following of his two runs:

‘AIRTOTHETHRONE (IRE) ran very well on debut here. It should be noted that the front pair had the advantage of a run apiece where both finshed second so this fellow should be a decent competitor next time in any maiden following this experience.’

‘AIRTOTHETHRONE (IRE) may well have run even better than the bare result suggests having only been denied second the dying strides. This son of Yeats travelled very smartly into the contest and a maiden success would come at no surprise, with due improvement.’
