Point to Points 2019
Our point to point yard stepped up a gear in 2019.
Isla’s Dream made history when becoming the first pointer to win both a bumper and a maiden point to point. In December, she went to Barbury Castle to contest the bumper at the International meeting where she won cosily and then onwards to Buckfastleigh where she made all. The 4yo filly by Notnowcato was later snapped up privately to go jumping under rules.
The Last But One came to us in the summer. He debuted in points at Wadebridge in January winning the Ladies race and then returned for the same venue in February taking advantage of a walkover to win the Mens and Ladies events on the same day! Runner-up in the West Country Champion Chase at Buckfastleigh and a valuable Hunter Chase at Leicester in February, he earned a mid-season break before a late season hat-trick crowned him the National Young Horse Champion.
Tom originally bought him as a store for a client as a 3yo, then again on behalf of a client in the yard of Paul Nicholls, so when he came on the market at Ascot and made reasonable money, we took him home. He is now firmly ensconced as a yard favourite!
